The (Not-So) Concealed Connection between Human Trafficking and Immigration
This article discusses the connections between human trafficking and recent immigration and deportation practices inside the United States of America. It aims to bring awareness to this connection, as research suggests that restrictions regarding the attainment of citizenship and government protection may make the immigrant population more vulnerable to both labor and sex trafficking. However, through increased advocacy and proposals to change policies, hope is not yet lost.
